harbor and island views from their dining room and bar. Enjoy a comfortable and casual atmosphere with an international mix of popular menu selections from seafood to burgers. Their menu offers to cook up your catch of the day if you've been lucky fishing! Full bar with great appetizers make this a favorite choice for enjoying Golfito's sunsets. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Situated on the water actually overhanging the water at high tide this restaurant has wonderful ambiance. It is a place where you go to dine, not just eat. The menu has a grand array of choices, not just sea food. We chose a platter for two which included a very large portion of several types of sea food as well as some complementary starch and dip dishes.

Villas De Oros  -  DRIVING? If you are driving and don't want to stay in Golfito, Ojochal is on the way from San Jose. Just a short drive from Uvita and about 1 1/2 hours from Golfito, it is a very nice small hotel located right on the highway. Rooms are spacious with a small kitchen and cooking area. Don't want to cook? Several good restaurants close by.
Soda El Muellecito is a perpetual local favorite where the ferry boats to Puerto Jimenez pull in and taxi boats for hire come and go daily. Those who reside out along the Golfo Dulce coast often moor their boats at the ramp alongside here while shopping in town- appreciating the convenience in this rendezvous spot. A central stopover for a quick coffee with home-style Costa Rican typical foods prepared exactly as a 'Tico Mama' would.   Breakfast and Lunch.
Hike Corcovado National Park, paddle up the Mangrove Rivers, and watch Dolphins and Turtles (and the occasional Humpback Whale) swim next to your kayak. You’ll experience the best of super-natural Costa Rica on this tropical adventure, and taste the natural flavors of the Costa Rican cuisine; all while staying at 3 beautiful and comfortable eco-lodges.
Restaurante Hong Kong is our longest standing choice for regional specialties and traditional Chinese fare. Family owned and operated since 1983. Favorites include Won Ton Soup, Beef & Broccoli, Stuffed Fish or Chicken, and Sweet & Sour Chicken. Delivery upon request to 'in town' locations for c1,000. Casual atmosphere is "kid friendly". Lunch and Dinner.
Sailed in and did a water landing to have a late lunch. The grounds include cabins for rent and next to Golfito Wildlife Refuge. They offer a great variety of options but opted for the grilled fish and plantains. Both were made fresh to order. Others in my party ordered arroz con pollo / shrimp. Everything tasted amazing. Their portions are large so you won't go away hungry. Don't look for a quick turnaround time, it took some time to prepare. Take the time to enjoy an ice cold beer and stroll the beach while waiting to eat. The people working the restaurant are very friendly. Would definitely go back.
We were told by the locals of a good place to get "pescado entero" (a full fish-fried whole) and this was definitely good advice! They said the fish were "small" so they gave us two for the price of one...way more than we could eat! The ambiance was very nice, the service friendly and the prices and food both good. Would definitely recommend it and I'd definitely go back to try something else on the menu! The only issue we had, which is obviously not the restaurants fault, is we got eaten alive by mosquitos (through our clothes even). They're obviously aware of it as they lit mosquito coils all around us...very nice of them to do that. :-)
