Mar y Luna is a family owned and operated bay front hotel and restaurant that serves top notch fare from fresh seafood to filet mignon, Their menu includes a wide mix of international dishes & great appetizers. Their ambiance alone is a good reason to stop in to visit -great service, beautiful bay views & nautical decor.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
La Pista is the the Spanish word for 'runway'. Located at the Airport Landing Strip, this is a great place to pass time waiting for a flight or to watch the activity of Golfito's national and charter flights from the outdoor dining area. Great home-style cooks prepare traditional local plates and bar favorites.  As a popular locals 'party spot', weekends can be quite lively-especially during high season. Full service bar.    Snacks, Lunch and dinner.
We were told by the locals of a good place to get "pescado entero" (a full fish-fried whole) and this was definitely good advice! They said the fish were "small" so they gave us two for the price of one...way more than we could eat! The ambiance was very nice, the service friendly and the prices and food both good. Would definitely recommend it and I'd definitely go back to try something else on the menu! The only issue we had, which is obviously not the restaurants fault, is we got eaten alive by mosquitos (through our clothes even). They're obviously aware of it as they lit mosquito coils all around us...very nice of them to do that. :-)
