Soda El Muellecito is a perpetual local favorite where the ferry boats to Puerto Jimenez pull in and taxi boats for hire come and go daily. Those who reside out along the Golfo Dulce coast often moor their boats at the ramp alongside here while shopping in town- appreciating the convenience in this rendezvous spot. A central stopover for a quick coffee with home-style Costa Rican typical foods prepared exactly as a 'Tico Mama' would.   Breakfast and Lunch.
The port town of Golfito (literally 'little gulf') is located in Puntarenas Province on the southern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, near the border of Panama. The town lies on a narrow strip of land between the eponymous bay and a hill and consist of two parts, the town proper and shopping area to the south, and a residential area near the port. Still further north are the duty-free zone and an airstrip.
“Al llegar nos dimos cuenta que me confundí al reservar en bookin y la muchacha de recepción super amable, no resolvió el problema muy favorable para nosotros. La piscina super limpia, todo muy organizado, variedad al desayuno y muy rico. Área de juegos, buen gimnasio, excelente para ir de compras y volver a la piscina. Bar y restaurantes con servicio a la piscina muy bueno... Super recomendado para familias ”
We were told by the locals of a good place to get "pescado entero" (a full fish-fried whole) and this was definitely good advice! They said the fish were "small" so they gave us two for the price of one...way more than we could eat! The ambiance was very nice, the service friendly and the prices and food both good. Would definitely recommend it and I'd definitely go back to try something else on the menu! The only issue we had, which is obviously not the restaurants fault, is we got eaten alive by mosquitos (through our clothes even). They're obviously aware of it as they lit mosquito coils all around us...very nice of them to do that. :-)
